Diamond Lapping Film Sheets and Discs | Precision Abrasive Film for Polishing Ceramics, Glass & Optics
Diamond Lapping Film is a high-precision abrasive material coated with micron-graded diamond particles on a polyester backing. It is designed for polishing and finishing hard materials like ceramics, glass, carbide, metals, and fiber optic connectors.
Standard Sizes:
3” × 6” (76 mm × 152 mm)
8.5” × 11” (216 mm × 279 mm)
230 mm × 280 mm
Applications: Manual polishing, flat surfaces, connector end-face touch-up.
Backing: Available with or without PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive).
Standard Diameters:
3" (76 mm), 5" (127 mm), 6" (150 mm), 8" (203 mm), 12" (305 mm), and custom sizes.
Applications: Machine polishing, flat lapping systems, fiber optic connector polishing fixtures.
Center Hole: Optional (typically 1/4” or 1” depending on polisher type).
High Cutting Efficiency: Diamond abrasives offer faster material removal compared to traditional abrasives.
Excellent Surface Finish: Produces consistent, mirror-like finishes on hard substrates.
Tight Tolerance: Uniform particle distribution ensures repeatable results.
Durability: Long-lasting under wet or dry conditions.
Compatibility: Suitable for most polishing machines and fixtures.
Fiber Optics: MT, MPO, MTP®, LC/SC/FC connector polishing
Ceramics: Die, ferrule, or substrate surface finishing
Hard Metals: Carbide tooling, stainless steel, titanium
Glass & Quartz: Flat optical components, wafers
Electronics: Circuit boards, heat sinks, chip packaging
